Tekkit Single-player crashing with saving chunks when first open world

Hello,

I went to go make a new single-player world in tekkit classic and when it loaded up, it instantly went to a dirt screen and said saving chunks. I tried again on the same new world and it did it again. I then created another world and it was doing fine till I started to explore new chunks (By that I mean like 4 chunks ahead of me), it then showed the same message again. But when I play on my multi-player world it works just fine. Is something wrong with my launcher or is this a common bug or what. Please help
