I've seen this a couple of times but I haven't found a conclusive fix.
Essentially, I try to run Tekkit, the update bar says '100% no updates found for tekkitmain', and nothing else happens. It still says 'launching...' on the launch button but it doesn't launch.
I've found that, if I uninstall and re-download; reset the pack; or otherwise re-download and install all the necessary files like in initial startup, then it will launch that once but will require the same process on each launch. My main problem with this, other than the time it entails, is that I NEED Optifine for anything like a smooth play of Tekkit (shit laptop) and, if I have to reinstall the mod every time I want to play, it replaces the modpack.jar file and, obviously, I then no longer have Optifine.
I've set my launcher to use the most recent beta release as some people have suggested, reset the pack, deleted absolutely everything and reinstalled it. Anyone able to shine some light on this for me?
I think the log I've included is relevant - I'm not a code wizard, but I'm guessing repeated use in the log of '[sEVERE]' is Java's way of telling me that something's fucked?
