Title: Possible Chunk Reset

Version: 1_0_4

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Java Version: Version 7 Update 25

Description of Problem:

I was playing Hexxit and decided to go exploring, so I gathered supplies and left my underground base. When I came back roughly two hours later, I found that there was a new battle tower above my base and that my base had been completely replaced with stone blocks. The dirt and stone seem to have been reverted to their original state but both trees and ore have been randomized. A basic Google search told me it might be a chunk reset but I honestly do not know what it is.

If I'm mistaken and it isn't a bug, could you tell me how I might prevent this from happening again? I don't want to lose my base again.

I was playing in SSP with an open LAN connection; two other persons were present on my world.

Right, this has happened to me again just a day later. After clearing the new battle tower, I went out to explore before returning to my base hours afterward. I return to find a new battle tower next to the former battle tower and see that my base has once again been replaced with solid stone blocks.

One thing I did that I forgot to mention last time was to explore a dimensional dungeon. I died, got a "your home bed has been obstructed" message, then fell into Limbo. I don't know if it's related or not.

I managed to find a segment of my base that survived and discovered that the affected area is the same. I could not measure the entire area that was affected, but one of the sides is at least 27 blocks long. Within a 10 block radius of the area, ores were randomized in stone blocks but existing tunnels were not filled in.

I apologize for the repeated posts, but I seem to be unable to edit earlier posts to include additional information.
