Title: Can't join friend's server or play single player: White Screen crash

Description of Problem:

I've been having this problem for a while. Even after deleting the entire .technic folder and downloading a new technic launcher, the same error would still occur, even with a clean installation. This is what would happen:

After selecting Tekkit I would press, "Launch" The "FML is setting up your environment" bar would show up and then it would go to the Mojang Screen. The Mojang screen would stick around for quite an unusually long amount of time. After a while it would go to the main screen. I would select multiplayer, select my friend's server, and try to log in. It would display logging in for a little bit and then the logging in words would disappear to show me just dirt. After a little bit, the screen turns white and it crashes with no message. My friend tells me that his game shows that I am logging into the server, but logging off when the game crashes. I also tried having my friend delete my name from the server list to see if that would fix it, but it didn't work. I even tried to create a single player world, but it would get stuck at "loading world." I've also tried boosting the memory on the launcher, but that didn't work either.

I was able to play in tekkit 1.2 very easily with the old launcher, but now it seems impossible.

Intel® Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz (Quad Core)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti Driver Version 320.49

If you have any suggestions or knowledge, please help.
