Can't log on to servers.

Antivirus Program: none

Description of Problem:

When I try to log in with the Voltz mod pack it gives me a pop up window that says can't connect to minecraft.net. would you like to play in offline mode? If I push yes then I can play Voltz but I can't log into servers. This happens when I try it on my windows XP too. I haven't really messed with the other packs but Tekket says incorrect username/password combination. Hexxit works though. If anyone knows how to fix this please help.

It's not technicpack.net its minecraft as a whole. vanilla too.

It's not a coincidence that all of minecraft stopped working with the release of 1.6.4, i think they're messing with stuff that would've otherwise been fine. I'm not to worried about it, they're not about to abandon fixing it, even if it means rolling back the update.

Perhaps i should clarify then, the capacity for players is at about 1% right now
