Can't play Classic at all!

Title: Can't play Classic at all!

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows 7

Java Version: Windows 32-bit

Description of Problem:

Last night I played Tekkit Classic for a few hours with no problems then went to bed. I started up the launcher this morning and loaded up tekkit classic. When the window popped up that plays tekkit there is normally a tekkit like icon in the top left corner but it's been replaced by a crafting table. When the game got to the title menu i realised it said there were only 3 mods, tried to play and the game crashed. Started up again and it says 41 mods, tried to play and it crashed again. I have tried resetting the pack via the launcher, deleting the tekkit folder from the .technic directory altogether and reinstalling. Still nothing. I have also updated java, re-downloaded the technic launcher, restarted my computer and tried playing other mod packs (which HAVE worked) Any help greatly appreciated, anyone who can solve my problem gets $5 via paypal. Thanks All!

Dude there are like 7 other threads about this, do a little research. The launcher downloaded some kind of automatic small update and now classic is jacked up.

Thanks for your attitude, next time maybe I'll spend more than 2 hours searching for an answer before I ask the supposedly "friendly" technic community for help But in all seriousness thanks for the response, it was in fact helpful.

I have never been into the "You can catch more flies with honey" method. Don't mind my irritation on the amount of threads on the matter, I seem to be going through tekkit withdrawls.

I think we all are. From my understanding this "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI is not hierarchical" means it can't fetch the files needed for classic which is causing these errors. So I read anyway.

Read the bottom of the first piece dated today, Vatar. http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/16-support-is-now-available.39 They're trying to fix it.

I have found a work around to use tekkit classic from the folks over at stormsiegemc.com. You can open tekkit classic and press f11 to enter full screen mode. As long as you do not leave full screen you will be able to log onto multiplayer servers and not crash. I am giving them a vote as a thank you.

hit F11 before you go in to a world or server this is away around the crash in tellthey can fix it !!!
