Custom Modpack Server Issues, Please Help!

Hello all, I found a custom modpack that someone else made on the technic page, and I do enjoy it. They have a server download, and it contains the following files:

bukkit.yml

config

coremods

Forge.jar

Launch.bat

lib

mods

server.properties

Since I am on a mac, I have created a terminal command that will run the included Forge.jar. (This command has been used on several different servers in the past, I'm fairly certain it isn't the problem) The server starts up fine, and I have everything port forwarded. But when I open up the client, it tells me it cannot connect to the server. I even enter "localhost" into the IP box, and the result does not change. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.
