Launcher no longer works, servers are down apprently..

Launcher Version: 293

Operating System: Windows 8 (Build 9200)

Java Version: Version 7 Update 45

Antivirus Program: Norton 360

Description of Problem:

When you attempt to download a modpack not created by the Technic people, (I.E "Aether 2 pack for 1.6.2 It refuses to connect to the server to download. Then as I proceed to click the Launch button the download bar says 0%... for a second or so and then proceeds to close down. It is doing this to any custom modpack including private ones as well.

one issue is that the technic pack people do not host any packs other than the defalt ones. So with your example of Aether2, the people who created aether 2 have to host it somewhere. That somewhere might be down.

Well, that may be a very true statement, but hosting it with a very well known website such as Dropbox it should never be down. But also it is not just for custom mod packs now its every mod pack including the ones made by the technic team.
