"Manually installing" mod packs?

Hello,

I've been having consistent issues downloading the "Medicraft" mod pack via the launcher. It gets to about 35% of the download and dies. Every time, every day I try, for the past 3 weeks. So I read on the mod pack page ( http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/medicraft.41184 ), that if you have trouble downloading, you can manually install it. So I downloaded it manually and unzipped it into the "medicraft" folder in the ".technic" directory. However, when I try to run it through the launcher, it still tries to download it, and I haven't been able to find anything helpful anywhere else.

So, how do I do this?
