jidd Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Recently I have made a modpack for the technic luancher. But the problem is, is that when I go to play my modpack, it just downloads the zip I uploaded to the platform and nothing else. It wont download the minecraft.jar or anything else. The mojang screen or even a error will not pop up, it just downloads the zip and stops. When I go to roamingdata -> .technic -> modpacks -> and then into my mod pack (called "back to volts".) it has all of the folders but inside those folders is empty except for the cache folder. And in the cache folder it has my modpack (back to volts.zip) in it. -info- - mods have all been tested (works) - modpack is build for 1.4.7 - the mod pack is setup correctly and spelled correctly (I triple checked this with 2 vids on youtube and the instructions on website) - the mod pack - http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/back-to-the-volts (just in case you wish to see for yourself. And it is hidden so just copy that link and paste it to download the pack.) - I have looked all over google and been trying to figure it out for 2 days, please help
Kitsune30 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I tried to download, but it failed to download the modpack itself. Is it hosted in your Public folder?
jidd Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 I tried to download, but it failed to download the modpack itself. Is it hosted in your Public folder? If you are talking about the public folder in drop box, then yes it is. And it is because it is hidden probably, l will uncheck that.

Oh I took it off drop box because it wasn't working. I put it back on and back on the platform so if you would like to try again here it is ... http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/back-to-the-volts
Kitsune30 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Ok so, it downloaded properly this time; whatever you did, it made that part work. But the launcher wasn't able to unzip it. I took the downloaded pack, unzipped it using 7zip, then re-zipped it and it deleted the empty config folder (as there are no files to zip, and empty folder aren't allowed). I uploaded this to a test pack and that works. So: 1. Take your pack, unzip it. 2. Delete the (empty) config folder, or put anything in there, even a .txt file if you feel it's necessary 3. Re-zip the new folders 4. Re-upload 5. ??? 6. Profit? If you already fixed it, then ignore this :P

I first tried deleting the config file and uploading it but it didn't work, so i put my config files in the folder (like you said) and it worked!
