ShazmoCraft Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Hi, so I recently made a modpack for MC version 1.5.2. Everything worked great, so I decided I'd make a 1.6.2 modpack. I did everything the same as last time, but it just doesn't load. When I add it to my modpacks in the launcher, It says it downloads, but it just stays on the home page of the launcher. When I click "play", it downloads it again, even though it has already downloaded. (http://postimg.org/image/4ida7usz1/) It made a folder in /AppData/Roaming/.technic/shaz-pack, and my modpack.jar is in the bin, but "shaz-pack-0.0.1.zip is in the cache. Is that the problem? I also think it could be the new launcher, as it always worked before I got the 325 build of the technic platform. Here's the link to my modpack (http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/shaz-pack) It only has one mod for the moment. Also, I am using Dropbox for my file hosting, And it definitely is a direct download, not one you have to click "download". Any help would be much appreciated.
Kitsune30 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I did some playing around with it and think I found it. It downloads, unzips the modpack.zip, and then places everything where it needs to go. But then when it goes to unzip the modpack.jar (the renamed Forge) it breaks. I swapped it with a correct version of Forge, and hosted it (cause if it doesnt install Forge properly it acts like it never downloaded it and will keep redownloading on command until everything installs correctly) myself and it worked properly. So: Did you use the universal Forge for 1.6.2, or maybe something else? How did you build the modpack? Like, did you install Forge into vanilla launcher, then add mods, and then upload that entire thing?

What I did was, I made a folder for my modpack. I made four folders inside that, bin, mods, coremods, and config. In bin, I made a folder. I extracted all of the files from the Forge jar and put them in. I selected all of them, and compressed it into a modpack.jar. I copied the modpack.jar and pasted it into the bin folder. Then deleted the other folder with all of the Forge files in it. Then added the mod into the mods folder, compressed the four folders into a .zip, then uploaded it to Dropbox. That's correct isn't it? Also, I use WinRAR as my archiver. Ahhhh! I don't know what i'm doing wrong.. D:

Instead, I just renamed the Forge .jar to modpack.jar, uploaded it, and it's working. Thanks for your help :)
