Redpower Machines and Lamps

Operating System: XP Home edition 32 bit

Version of Java: v7 32 bit

Description of Problem: On a certain server, when I try to craft a filter from redpower, the recipe forms a deployer. When I then tried to spawn it in using NEI, I got a deployer as well. It should be noted that the ID of the deployer is 150 while the ID of the filter is 150:3. When I try to craft redstone lamps I get a 'null pointer exception' and then when I tried to spawn in any coloured lamp (ID is 147:X where X is the varying damage values) I got the white lamp and, the really odd thing, when I placed it it turned into a buildcraft iron transport pipe (ID 4309).

Error Messages: 'Null pointer exception'

Does anybody else know what causes this and how to fix it?

I understand that something must be reverting the damage values to zero for the varying redpower machines, but I don't get why the lamp turned into an iron pipe nor why there was that exception.

i also had this happen to me on my server and when i tried to craft a lamp it kicked me out for Null pointer exception as well. i tried going through the item ids in both the server and client coding but i couldn't fix it. i also had to restart the server inorder for it to let me back on. any help would be greatly appreciated
