Can't increase my hexxit ram? :(

I cant increase my hexxit ram and i dont know why so heres what i do...

I open launcher, go to hexxit and click the gear theres a dropbox with memory, i click on it and it only comes up with 500mb, 750mb, 1gb and no permagen checkbox or anything like that and i dont know why...............

I 8GB of ram...

This is to do with your java type, you could either have 32 bit or 64 bit. When you have 32 bit java you cannot dedicate more than 1 gig of ram to the application, I suggest you go install a 64 bit version of java so you can dedicate more ram to your game.
