cant right click into machines in bigdig

hello minecraft people ,

as the subject says i cannot enter into some of the machines. The coal generator or the electric furnace isnt working at all. everything else works just fine. does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix ? its really annoying as this is how i start out with some of the mods and i dont like starting with heat generators. ive already searched around and i cant find anything at all. any help would be appreciated

it seems the heat gen works just like the coal gen.... how weird...
