When I add a new modpack and click play it shows loading bar but doesnt go past 0

Description of Problem:

I can play the modpacks that It starts with, but when I add a modpack and press start it brings up the loading bar, shows 0, and disappears. I have tried uninstalling things and reinstalling things but it doesn't help.
