I get an error everytime I try to play a modpack...

Operating System: Windows XP

Java Version: build 1.7.0_45-b18

Antivirus Program:

Description of Problem:

Whenever I press play to play on a modpack, it downloads and all that jazz (which takes forever) and when it finishes, I get an error. No matter which modpack.

Error Messages:

Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine

Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Error Log:

hey literaly 5 minutes after reading this post (because i had the same problem) i tried messing with settings and this is what you do.

1: in the top right corner of the launcher click on the little gear(settings)

2: you'll see something under "always use beta launcher builds" that says Memory

3: change it to 512MB ( i am guessing yours isn't, mine was on 1GB and it worked after changing it so do this )

4: PLAY
