Stuck in offline mode?

I've had an issue for a few days now that the launcher seems to simply want no interaction with the internet. I can play just fine, but there is simply no internet connection. All packs simply claim to be offline.

I've spent a few hours trying to fix this to download a new modpack, but unfortunately, it has been fruitless, so I'm turning to you guys, who actually have some experience.

I have:

• allowed all access for the launcher through my firewall
  
• disabled Avast
  
• run as administrator
  
• reinstalled the launcher
  

None of which have done anything.

Any help would be really awesome right now.
