Technic Launcher refuses to let me use any mod packs

Java Version: jre-7u45-windows-x64.exe

Antivirus Program: trend micro titanium

Description of Problem:

At first the launcher showed all of my modpacks (I only had the basic ones like tekkit and voltz) as offline, and told me that they were uninstalled(?). I tried everything from re-downloading, trying to download packs, making sure I had the right Java and everything, nothing worked. I completely deleted every trace of the Tehnic Launcher from my computer and then downloaded it again, as if it were for the first time. Now it not only shows no modpacks whatsoever, just an endless scroll of + Add New Pack ... I have tried adding packs from the Technic Launcher website, and it just tells me that it failed.

I have had many problems with this newer launcher (about since when it got the new launcher home and the new blue and black icon) that have been similar, though usually just having to do with one or two of my favorite modpacks but not involving the others. Untill now I have been able to fix it by messing around with it, just plain waiting and hoping it will fix itself, and re-downlads.
