Are ores rarer in voltz?

I've been mining for hours and not gotten more than a few blocks of iron ore. Does extrabiomesXL mess with ore distribution? Or do the new ores make vanilla ores rarer?

I have tons of tin and copper but can find hardly any iron. I am looking between levels 8 and 50 where iron should be plentiful.

I've noticed that too on some worlds. Others have been very plentiful in iron, so it might be just you or I'm incredibly lucky.
