eiika Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I am going to buy a computer, and I wonder if AMD A6-3500 and 4 GB RAM is enough to host a server for 5-10 players? I am not going to play on the computer myself, it is only going to be a server. Quote
Arusuko Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Definitely, that's more then enough for a 5-10 player dedicated machine. Ultimately the experience you get will come down to the network connection it has before you reach the limits of the hardware. Quote
eiika Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 How many players do you think will be maximum on this hardware and 10/10 mbps? Quote
Deedasmi Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I'll just say this: When I'm playing technic while hosting a 5 man tekkit server, I'm using 4-5 GB of ram, in just those 2 processes. Total I can hit 6+ GB. When I'm playing tekkit, it's about 3-3.5 GB (for those two). I would try and get 6 GB of ram if you can. Quote
