launching packs on Mac OS X. I NEED HELP

Description of Problem:

Does Anyone have these problems?

first problem---pasted modpacks say stuff like *unable to unzip file please contact modpack author*

second problem when opening modpacks like Yogbox or Hack and Mine, around the time that mojand should pop up it starts Flashing like Strobe lights and wont stop (it will change from time to time to like Textures of things)

anybody knows whats going on? (im on mac 10.7.5 with up to date Java.)
