Loading World, Building Terrain Not Loading

Hi guys.

Up until a few weeks ago I have been unable to create a single player world. it always get's stuck on loading world, building terrain. I have looked at many forums but have not found an answer. I can join multi-player worlds just fine, but not single player. I know it is not a problem with the hardware because i built a new computer last night and it didn't work on that either. (I didn't build it just for minecraft.) Minecraft was the first thing i installed, after java. could anyone help, as i love big dig but all the people on servers are annoying. I am running on windows 7 64bit and am using launcher build 383, if that helps.
