my launcher has no modpacks and it says offline, cant add modpack

so i've been running into some problems, when ever i launch my launcher it opens up but it says loading then i scroll my mouse and it says offline,

when i add a mod pack it wont let me it says " error parsing platform response" it happens with any mod pack

im using the most up to date launcher and i dont know why its doing this, please help
