Need some help with installing extra mods

Hey guys, i've been trying to install a mod on my attack of the b team client and server but i've had no luck. The mod i've been rying to instiall is this. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1738287-172-village-marker-mod/ Before you say this is a  1.7.2 mod. There is a 1.6.4 version.

Anyways, on the server, i've run into a message saying that classes dont match and it automatically stopped. and for the client, when i press play, nothing happens. It is a jar mod rather than a forge mod so im not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated.

If it's a jar mod, then it has to go directly into modpack.jar on your client. On the server, I *think* it goes in the server's jarfile too but don't quote me on that
