White-screen when loading [SOLVED]

Question

Posted

First of all; yes, I read the sticky in the OP, no it didn't work and I played just a few hours ago.

So when I started the Technic launcher this morning it wanted to update (LWJGL among other things), the update finished and Minecraft/Tekkit started up.. white screen, nothing else.

The sticky said that this was the time to maybe create a topic.. is this because of the update? Is everyone else getting this? My girlfriend has the same problem, so I'm thinking it's not my computer..

Launcher/pack Version: Latest

Operating System: Win7 64-bit

Version of Java: 7 ofc

Re: White-screen when loading

Alright, so after deleting the .technichpack-folder and re-installing several times it's now kind of working.. it starts a Minecraft called "Tekkit", and it's Minecraft version 1.1.. but without any mods..

Edit; Found out the problem, but got a new one now..

In short:

I've had "Always use dev. builds" marked, so what it did was upgrade from 2.1.1 to 3.0 (?).. and that broke the game somehow. So after deleting the .technicpack-folder and re-installing with the stable 2.1.0 I'm once again able to log in.

But... SMP isn't working anymore for some reason. I can play fine in SSP though, so now I'm a bit confused - as others can join the server just fine.

What happens? When I try to log in I get the minecraft-dirt-background, then it goes white.

I've read through the sticky threads, tried starting it with a .bat-file but to no avail. What can I do now?

Edit 2; Got it working. It was actually I who had messed up a number in the port when trying to join the server. Problem solved. Thanks everyone who helped! (I.E Me, and I'm welcome!)
