Help Please, Laucher closes imediatly after opening (RESOLVED)

Question

Posted

Basic Info:

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1, 64 bit

Version of Launcher: 1.0.1.1 EXE

Versions of Java: (all from add/remove programs)

Java 7 Update 3 (64-bit)

Java SE Development Kit 7 update 3 (64-bit)

JavaFX 2.0.3 (64-bit)

JavaFX 2.0.3 SDK (64-bit)

Antivirus: Norton 360 (problems persisted with it turned off)

Logs: There is no log folder in my .techniclauncher folder (don’t know why)

Problem:

I downloaded and ran the Technic Launcher, it opened for about 2 seconds, the green bar reached halfway and then shut down.

It properly created the .techniclauncher folder, and it seems to contain everything it should.

When I try to run the Launcher again, it flashes open then closes, too fast to read anything that it says.

(edit) i know there is a problem just like this in the FAQ, but it blames 32 bit java, which I do not have. (edit)

(resolved) thanks matthew2424, this fixes everything. i feel rather stupid now.

for those of you who are also having trouble with it, you can open up

.techniclauncher folder then right click on the JAR file and open with JAVA (resolved)
