Low FPS, MC not using even 1/3 of PC's resources

Hey there.. I haven't played MC for a long time. I believe last time I played, it was Tekkit 1.2.5 with equivalent exchange 2 and IC2.

Wanted to check what's new and downloaded technic, YogBox 1.6.4, began playing and gave up after few minutes due to low fps.

 

My FPS is around 20-30, 50 in deserts. I remember playing Tekkit 1.2.5 with 100+ FPS and I had 20-30fps only in places with huge constructions, quarries and many other things in action, now Im having 20-30 fps without any construction at all, can't imagine how low FPS will I have once I will have constructions...

 

RAM: Corsair’s Vengeance 12GB DDR3

VGA: Radeon HD 6950 DCII 2GB Soft OC and Firm OC

CPU: Amd Phenom II x4 3.4GHz

Minecraft/saves are on SSD

Java 7 Update 55 (newest I believe, downloaded yesterday)

 

My CPU load is 20-30%, GPU load is 15%, RAM load is 30%, MC is not using even 1/3 of the PC's power it can use..

Check to be sure you don't for some reason have the 32-bit version of Java installed, and Minecraft is running on that.  Also, this should go in the Tracker, not on the forums, if your Java bit version isn't the issue.
