Empty directory when installing mod packs

When i try to add my friends mod pack or any others it says please select empty directory but when i go to where its supposed to be it just says it again and doesnt work please Help

Your friend either needs to uncheck the "force directory change" box in the edit tab of the modpack or you need to create a new folder for the modpack outside of the .technic folder if that doesnt work make a new folder for the pack in the .technic folder but outside of the modpacks folder. (it would be easiest to just have your friend uncheck that box, it is probably unessesary)
