Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium (64Bit)

Version of Java: Java 7 and Java 6 Update 31

Description of Problem: Cant connect to the server

Error Messages: Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

I tried many times with different servers and new cache.

Are you using a firewall? Tried disabling it for a couple of minutes in order to make sure its not firewall-related?

Just tested...Nope...Its not the firewall.

I get the same thing when i try to connect to a tekkit server, but not to a vanilla server, weird.

It seems a couple of people have similar problems at the moment ...

And also I have that same problem I can connect to vanilla server, but not a tekkit?

Does anyone else have a problem? Or has anyone ever had this problem and fixed it?

If it's not the cache, and all the other mod packs work (Vanilla, Technic, YogBox, etc.), has it occurred to you to read the stickies in the Tekkit Bug Board? Like, say, the Common Problems Thread? It says in there, somewhere not too far down, that Tekkit requires Java 7. Now, you have Java 7, and the pastebin log says you're running Java 7, but you also have Java 6. They might be interfering with each other. I'd remove Java 6 just to be safe.

Also, please don't say "latest recommended build" in your bug report. It confuses people that may not know what that is. Use the launcher and pack number.

Finally, check your AV to make sure it's not blocking the port access for some reason.
