New to All this

Got the Tekkit launcher downloaded. and when i go to launch it, it comes up with a box saying "Checking the launcher" which only last for about two seconds... then disappears. And im left confused as to what i did wrong. I downloaded java 7 and restarted my comp, and tried it again. Then the launcher did the same thing. It's like it don't want to open for me. What do i do?

Thank you i just noticed this reply on another post that was posted two mins before mine im looking into it right now. I do have a 32 bit os and am trying to remember how to get 64bit like i did on my other comp. Cause it works fine but fan broke its why im using this one. and having to update it. to 64 bit os

Pardon me but did you say updating a 32-bit to a 64-bit? I don't think you can simply update a 32-bit to a 64-bit.

One does not simply update to a 64 bit os.

That would require a complete re-install.

Easiest way is to take your PC to a computer shop and have them do it.

If you need to ask how to do it yourself then you are not capable of it without screwing things up.

You might need to backup your documents. Oh, check if your system supports it.
