Cannot join a specific server as of today

Question

Posted

Hey!

Launcher/pack Version: 2.1.1

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Version of Java: 7

Description of Problem: It says that server is Online, but when I join, I only load a bit(maybe 20x20 blocks) tile of the world(Picture: ). I can stay online for like 5-15 seconds then I get disconnected(Error message below). It has only done this today, been fine for the 3-4 days I've been on the server. It also shows the Server as offline for the next 30 or so minutes after I have been disconnected like this.

Error Messages: Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

Link to pastebin of log: http://pastebin.com/SdqE0svq

Thanks.

Your player.dat file is probably corrupted and needs to be deleted by a server admin. I'm not sure whether this will cause you to lose your inventory or not, though.

it rather sounds like a spot on a server i play where there is corruption on the map have you tried going in one direction or using /spawn

Well, if you take a look at the Imgur picture I have in the OP, it shows I cannot walk anywhere really.... and I can't get any commands to respond during the time I get to log in..

Anyway, the problem has been "solved". I posted the issue on the Server thread here and 1 of the Mod's said that I was in a corrupted chunk and I was making the server crash :(...

This happens when people have large factories running which causes large amount of lagg. Its generally to do with a shit ton of entities moving around (bc pipes etc). Unless someone turns it off chunks without "entity" types in them wont load. I mean im not exactly right but I had a huge factory in a previous server that I had to turn off when people joined or chunks wouldnt load and what you have stated would happen.
