Red Matter Greaves graphic bug

So I've been reading about seeing if there are any fixes to the graphical bug for the Red Matter Greaves / Gravity Greaves, and have come up empty-handed.

 

The graphical error is that the greaves do not display on your character, but instead the plate and boots graphic will show (even if you aren't wearing those slot pieces).

 

Has anyone had any luck in amending this? I'm using v 3.1.2 currently.
