Dose this work with proxys?

I am in uni halls where the internet uses a proxy, no choice in the matte use it or no internet. I can get as far as what seems to be the launchers splash screen, get an image saying “technic launcher” then nothing. The logs say it is getting a connection error and I know that sometimes things won’t work with a proxy but the only times I have noticed that personally is when a place blocks it, steam and twitchtv.

In case anyone else here thinks they have this problem, no the launcher will not work if you are behind a proxy. Just got home and after my laptop which I tried to use it on has been off the whole time it starts up with no problems and is now downloading the mod files.
