Running Tekkit Server is Using About 120% of my CPU

Hi I am running a tekkit server on a linux server and I used the command top in the console and it says java is using up around 120% of my cpu. Can someone explain to me and hopefully tell me how to fix it? Thanks.

Launcher/pack Version: 2.1.1

Operating System: Ubuntu 11.10

Version of Java: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.0) (7~b147-2.0-0ubuntu0.11.10.1)

OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 21.0-b17, mixed mode)

Description of Problem: Running a server uses up 120% of my cpu

OK I figured it out its all faction's fault. It went from using anywhere from 150% CPU usage to 300% CPU usage with factions to around 90% without it. So if your using up massive amounts of CPU and have factions, I'd check there first.
