Hello. My name is Nate, and I freaking LOVE Tekkit. I don't, on the other hand, enjoy the random freezes that occur whilst playing it. It works for about 15-20 minutes (although I've never timed it; this is my approximation). In this time period, it works nearly perfectly, with only the occasional bit of lag, lasting for a second or two. Then, without warning, it completely stops to work. I sit there for a moment, staring at the same position for a few moments, trying to decide if it is merely lag. Once I've realized that it is not, I hit Ctrl, Alt, and Del, open my task manager, and force close it. The Java Binary SE searches for a solution to the problem, and then it closes.

Any advise will be appreciated. This is my first post, so please forgive any noobishness found on the above report.

This...is a perfect bug report, on your first post. Cheers!

A little more information will be helpful, though. Is this your server you're playing on (or are you playing single player)? If so, do you have a server log? If not, are there are circumstances that could be causing your issues?

The MD5 mismatch you're seeing is a security negotiation key between your computer and minecraft.net, and rebooting your computer, after which you wait 5 minutes or so to reconnect, should hopefully solve that part of the problem. If that error still shows up, try searching for *.md5 and deleting all of them (related to Minecraft), which will force a new negotiation.

I don't know if this'll work but try uninstalling the version of Java that doesn't match your OS. eg: Keep 64 Bit Java if your Windows 7 is 64 Bit and keep 32 Bit Java if your Windows 7 is 32 Bit.

This happens in both single player and multiplayer, though I mostly play on single player. Which folder should I be looking for the *.md5 files in?

I have a 64-bit computer, so having a 32-bit program should not affect it.
