Tekkit smp dirt screen to white screen crash? Sp crashes too

Launcher/Pack Version: 1.0.1.3 (I think-not quite sure how to find this)

Operating system: Mac OS X 10.7.4 64 bit processer and OS

Version of Java: 1.6.0_31 64 bit (this is what I have according to terminal but according to vanilla minecraft I have 32 bit)

Description of Problem: I click join server and it will say "logging in" then I will hear a brief sound of water and then it goes to a blank dirt screen. Stays like that for about five seconds then flashes something (too fast to see what it is) and then goes to a white screen. At this point I have to quit the application. Also, when I try to do single player on tekkit it will appear to put me in the world for a couple of seconds, but everything is black, and then it will say saving chunks and go to the white screen.

Error Message: could be the thing that's flashing but it goes away too fast to see it.

Is this because I don't have the right version of Java? If so do I just have to wait for it to come out on mac?

OS: Mac OS X 10.7.3

Tekkit version: 2.1.1

Launcher version: 1.0.1.3 (not sure exactly)

java version: I use java SE 7 to launch server then change to SE 6 to launcher client

description: I started a world in technic ssp, then used it on my server. it converted it fine and started up fine, I then loaded up the client which started perfectly. imported into the server fine and connected fine. however when I started to walk it freezes the game and brings up the white screen.

My friend is having the same problem. He's on windows xp with 32bit. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to find the log and there aren't any errors

If anyone knows the solution-please help! He tried clearing the cache and downloading the newest launcher. None of these worked.
