Description of Problem:

I just loaded Tekkit and I spawned on nothing. I couldn't move, but I could break blocks and hear animals. I have other mods on my normal Minecraft, and also a texture pack loaded in, but I switched back to default and the same thing happened.

Go to your video settings and check the view distance. It defaults to Tiny -32 (!) when you first install Tekkit 3.0.3.
