I'm a retard

Alright let me start out with I have no clue what I'm doing. I have a local MP Server I host (Windows) and its running 2.0 - I've downloaded the 2.1.1 seems to always have error when loading mods around IC2 additional Pipes - 2.0 runs fine - after updating my tekkit launcher - says I don't have the necessary mods to connect to the 2.0 server. Would like some advise on either getting the new version to work (preferred) or getting the new launcher to work with the older server. Thank for any help
