I know you use to be able to use teleport pipes when buildcraft was part of tekkit. But im looking to send the energy from my Resonant Energy Cell to my machines, Redstone Furnace, Pulverizer. etc Whats the best way to send the energy wirelessly? Or do i have to use the Redstone Energy Conduit to send power?

So i have quarries, and compression dynamos to charge my redstone energy cells (i think thats what thier called) And my powered suit, But thats as far as im at. I dont know what to build really to be honest. I know ive only explored like 2% of what there is, but i dont know what i should be working on. Anyone have any suggestions on what i should be building? or explore?

Using both 1.2.9e for both server/client. I just updated tekkit/server after not playing for a few months (before the big update to the launcher) and setup everyting fine. I Just copied my world and pasted it and made sure in the config file it has the name of my world so i dont make a new one, been doing this every update and no issue.. Server loads, and when i type in the ip and refresh, it says catn reach server. did some tinkering and tried chaing the world name to something new so it has to generate a new world, and the server shows and i can connect. Change the name back and i get eth same issue.... Not sure whts going on.. Last i played was probably on 1.2.6 or maybe 7b? EDIT = FIXED. re-transfered the files over except the folders Dimensional Doors/Enderstorage/galacticraft/quantum/redstoneeither and the game worked and showed on the server list.

Im no minecraft tekkit pro, but im not a complete moron when it comes to this stuf Bassicaly it was sorta tough to get the mats to make the stuff needed to mod my power suit (jet pack, ion thrusters mainly). But since the last big chacne a few months ago, im noticing the stuff needed for thrusters are different and wayyyy more difficult to obtain. Is this intended, so that people dont rely on the suits as much? Mainly trying to get Enderium blend. Just seems wayyyyy too much work for that stuff. Just to get shiny ingots i have to farm ferrous ore which seems more rare then diamond atm. Does anyone have any help or solution to this? Am i doing it completely wrong?

FOUND THE "FIX" FOR THIS!! Not sure if this happend in 1.1.10, but now,w hen you have your power first selected, you cant move fast in the air

I installed my power suit mods again and tried to do the double tap to run adn jump thing, normally going far. now when i just,i just sorta stop moving foward. Is this intended?

Ya i sorta did some tinkering to see the new energy cells, but like is aid i have sorta a basic knowledge of this stuff I figured i could just transfer my world since the most advanced thing i had was the energy cell powering my machines and getting power from the combustion engines or maybe the power suit . I havnt ran into any problems yet besides having to destroy the old redstone energy conduits and replace them. So i think i should be ok right? since i dont have anything super advanced. I had the forcefield setup but i didnt use it becuase ofthe power consumption.

So i just realised i can upgrade from 1.1.10 to 1.2.6. and just copy pasted my world (after backing them up ) and the redstone energy conduits are different and my power suit is completely gone. I guess what im asking is, what all changed? and is there a changelog somewhere that can sorta help me? im not a minecraft genius either. i was just learning how to build the mods for the power suit :/ Dont know how to transfer power from my combustion engines to my redstone energy cell and from the energy cell to my machines :/

Was wondering whast the best way to repair items? i know i can use the anvil and use the resource used to make the item to repair it. With a diamond pickaxe im going to need a diamond and some levels to repair it. But is there another way to repair items?

Iknow that sounds stupid, im somewhat new to tekkit. I have been building normal stuff and the only thing "complex" i have built is a quarry system with engines and water cooling. My question is, what do i build in tekkit? How do i explore the things tekkit offeres? Is there a beginners guide on what i should be aiming for? i know tekkit has a ton of mods that give a ton of items to build. im just lost :P

weird. its not doing it. although i did just login then log out and restart the tekkit client. il wait a fwe mins and try it.

its from one of the websites. i believe from planetminecraft. the skin will load in game. but when i restart minecraft it goes back to default

Stopped playing tekkit a few months ago, decided to play again a few days ago. Since then, my skin keeps going back to the default skin. I have changed it on the minecrat page and relogged completely on the tekkit login screen and still reverts back to the default skin when i relog into minecraft. Is this a known bug and is there a fix for this?

EDIT! FIXED! Had to re-upload the whole file set i had. BUT i do want to say that what Digdug83 said worked. TY all for the help and info

OK So i downloaded the update files from the website (1.1.8). Launched the .bat file and it downlaoded all the files and what not. Started it up on my end via LAN to see if it was working and it started up fine and i was able to log on. Logged onto Filezilla and uploaded the files to my server host (digthemine) and uploaded everyting and made sure it was loading the Tekkit.jar file. Starts up and the ram just stays at 30% and i cant log in says Cannot reach server

Well i have all the 1.1.8 files i downloaded from the website and i launched the launch.bat file and it loads then says pause and says it cant download the files for FML. I'm going to assume its saying that because the servers are down? Anyway il wait a and retry that solution and upload all my files once i do that again. Thanks for the help so far

OK so i get this correct, I need to run the Tekkit.jar. And since i tired using THAT jar file and the server wouldnt run, i need to have the Server Hosting company make it so it runs the batch file that i upload? sorry im still a bit lost ' IF i could get a sorta "step by step" guide on what i need to do and ask my server host id be SUPER GRATEFUL

well to be honest. i was having issues with my server. I JUST bought it a few days ago and used filezilla to upload everything. I was originally running the server on my own computer. The server uses multicraft. It let me choose what .jar i wanted to load and i chose the minecraft_server.jar. im no pro when it comes to this stuff so im sorry if im missing some information. I was trying to have it run the batch file but i doubt i need it to run that since im not hosting the server myself. This is what i did step by step Uploaded EVERYTHING i was using for myserver. the whole folder. Then noticed there was an update so i downloaded the update and uploaded all the files that i downloaded (from the zip file). Changed my multiraft to make it load the .jar file i wanted, and i thought it was suppose to load the Tekkit.jar file but it wouldnt start the server so i used the minecraft_server.jar that came with the download. Loaded up the server and it loaded fine. Went in game and all those blocks were missing. in NEI it shows the blocks, but when i try to spawn them it wont let me. Says they dont exist

I "updated" to 1.1.8. just dragged and dropped the files from the zip file i downloaded. the server files, 1.1.8. Loaded up the server and all the blocks that were glowstone bricks, are all empty now as if someone just deleted them. When i try to spawn them it says the item doesnt exist

I updated my server today and noticed all my glowstone bricks are missing. When i tried to spawn them the server said that item doesnt exist. Is this a known issue?
