  1. Is there a way to take out the fuel out of your combustion engines? i set up a quarry and used to many engines since im new to combustion engines and put the fuel in the engines already but i dont need the engines anymore and i dont want to waste the fuel, is there a way to get the fuel out?

I GREATLY appreciate this information Although I'm not sure what every mode in there does that you mentioned, mostly because I'm not a hardcore tekkit person , BUT I do get the gist of what you are saying Well I just did the drag and drop for my world and downloaded the new tekkit server files and loaded it up and my guy was just in the sky. Looking as if he was falling, and when i could see the floor a bit, the game/server crashed. I didn't build many machines, Only a quarry, solar panels (the first ones) and a few condensers, compressors and extractors (the things that convert materials to w/e you put in them to w/e you want converted?) and some electric furnases. Maybe thats why it "loaded" up a bit and then crashed? Either way, thank you again for the information, i GREATLY appreciate it I guess i COULD start a new world.
  3. So its been about 3 months since i last updated my tekkit. And i only played it for a few minutes to make sure it was working, before that it was another few months that i really PLAYED it. My question it, this new Tekkit stufff, with the space stuff and all that, is THAT the new update for tekkit? Also, how would i go about updating my minecraft for the new tekkit? My minecraft is currently on 1.2.5 i believe. I also noticed that there is a tekkit classic, is that for people who dont want the space stuff? SORRY if this has been asked before, if anyone has a link to a post that answers my questions instead id be happy to read it EDIT So i just dragged my world from the tekkit I was playing (i had my own server) into the new tekkit folder and it wont load it. Will it have compatibility issues?

  5. Can someone answer my question about eu/t please? if a batbox can take and put out 32eu/t and solar panels give 1eu/t which i found out is bassicaly 20 energy a second. does that mean that the batbox can take in and output 640 eu a second? or am i doing that wrong?

  8. ok. cause im using the tekkit wiki but it doenst always explain what i can and cant do :/ also what does the EU/t mean? well im assuming it means energy per time but i dont konw the specific measurement :/ ALSO with 6 solar panels to 1 MFE, how many machines is acceptable to hook up to my MFE? and how fast should it be charging per second? right now im getting 20 energy per second.

  10. So im fairly new to the tekkit. still trying to figure out how stuff works. I have a bat box that is outputting to 3 electric furnaces. and i have 6 solar panels hooked up to my batBox with 1 copper insulated wire. bassicaly its like this B= batbox C= copper wire P = solar panels B c ppp ppp all solar panels are right next to eachother with the wire coming from the front middle solar panel into the batbox. Is that the correct way to do that? im trying to make sure my batBox is charged correctly. AND also i want to do the same with a MFE but i dont konw if it will charge the same? im pretty lost so any information would help thanks -MabPwnU
  11. FIXED!!!! What you have to do, Go into your server folder, and go into the mods folder. Find the Railcraft.zip file and open it. Look for the Buildcraft folder and delete it. This worked for me. Im no expert at all but the best i can assume is that since tekkit puts all the mods together, and Railcraft has its own buildcraft in it. it causes problems with the actual buildcraft mod, so you have to just delete railcraft's buildcraft. ****If that doesnt work, and it should, then you might have to transfer the API folder from your client is. like the C:\Users\"USER"\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit\mods and open buildcraft-client-A-core, and take THAT api folder out of the buildcraft directory THEN move it into the Railcraft zip folder in the C:\Users\"USER"\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit\mods folder, if that makes sense. BUTTT YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THAT PART!***

  13. I have only found a few posts on this subject and no answers. im using the latest version of tekkit for my private server. When i try to make a quarry. the server freezes then crashes and i had to have a friend use MCEdit and delete the blocks then i had to back up my world. I use a quarry, steam engines cobblestone pipes. normal chest. red insulated wire. and lever. when i power up the steam engines. the server just hangs for a few seconds then it crashes and i have to re-upload my world. I tried the one tip where they tell you to delete the API folder in the railcraft>>buildcraft directory and then bring theAPI folder from the buildcract>>builldcraft directory. did that and it did not help. does anyone else have a solution or am i not goign to be able to use quarries until they fix it?
  14. Well i did what you said and its still crashing for me. I found a "guide" that told me to delete the api folder form the railcraft/buildcraft/ directory. and then move the api folder from the buildract/buildcraft/ directory. and then i had to do almost the same steps for the client. still not working....
  15. so is there no fix for this? sucks i cant use quarries :/ used steam and combustion engine and kills my world everytime and i have to upload mybackup every time :/

To save your world, which might not work for some, is you have to use MCEdit and delete the blocks. it worked for me. after that i just backed up my server and tried to see what the problem was, and i guess its the buildcraft power net. (my friend looked at some stuff while we dabbled with the server to see what breaks it) seems using most parts of buildcraft crash teh server and you have to use MCEdit to remove the blocks. BUT i dont know how to fix it so you can use quarries :/ hopefully they find a solution soon :/

Title: Server website shows server "UP" but Tekkit shows it as not up Version: 3.1.2 OS: windows 7 pro 64bit Java Version: 64bit Description of Problem: I dont know if im posting this in the right place and im failry new to tekkit. But me and my cousin were playing on a server i recently rented and all has been goign good until today when we built a quarry and were trying to set it up. I went to put wood pipes on the quarry to connect it to my chest and after i put a few the game just crashed, when i tried to reconnect to the server it kept showing it asif the server wasnt up and couldnt "pole" the server.   20. I have a world that ive been working on for a while. and was wondering if i install tekkit, would i be able to play that world with all the tekkit mods and addons? since theres new ores n what not, would i be able to find them? or would i have to just start a fresh world?
