  1. I have my setup running off of two roughly 8 blocks away from eachother and no problems what so ever. I'm out of ideas for you dude.
  2. Then that may be an update, I shall check now. I have now checked and I was correct, they will not attach. Even if they had, my respons would still be the same, don't use redpower. It is a far superior mod compared to BC in everything but liquid transportation, with which BC is much better.
  3. RP2 pumps are only good for transporting liquids, not storing them and, unless you know something I don't, they dont connect up the the necessary machines to make the conventional process work. Railcraft puts in tanks that RP2 is compatible with, so you could use them to pump lava into , and then wooden liquid pipes to pump it out and into the correct machines. As I said originally, you would need railcraft, which would make the whole process more expensive and unecessary anyway. Also, setting it up in the first place would be a pain too. If I am wrong, someone please correct me, however, that is my understanding.
  4. You'd need railcraft installed to make the setup with an RP2 pump, and it would only over complicate the process. My best advice to you is just set up the pumps slightly further away from eachother and make sure that the lava lake is several blocks deep under both
  5. The armour on the mobs is entirely vanilla, nothing mod affected there.
  6. Gotta agree with the mods here. Even if that was a measured response, I'd be pretty pissed off if part of something I had to do involved reading the same bullshit regarding unjustified claims day in and day out. I get angry enough dealing with my friends doing it, I can't imagine what it must be like for you mods.
  7. You would be correct in thinking that. 2 layers of either will keep the inner/outer most layer intact (depending on whether you're containing an explosion or protecting from one) Explosion damage can and will travel through diagonal blocks, and if you only have one level thick on the bottom and the top (looking at your diagram), I would suggest that, that probably is the reason.
  8. Nikolite is used to make several of the advanced machines in redpower. Silver is also a redpower item, when combined with nikolite in an alloy furnace, producing bluetric alloy, also used in the creation of many advanced redpower machines. Again with the gold, but its also used in the most basic of redpower machines such as a filter. I don't believe tungsten actually has a purpose yet, though eloraam is planning on implementing a purpose for it, most likely something to do with computers. Ferrous and Lead I'm gonna have to leave to someone else, as they are part of mods that I haven't yet explored to their full extent.
  9. Ah, in that case, im gonna stick to the electric engines as they don't require any maintenance as it were.
  10. Ah, that may very well be the case, I haven't ventured into the thermal expansion engines yet and was just speaking from my own experience. Is it possible for them to explode, or are they nice and safe?
  11. May I suggest not using a sterling engine, but instead hooking up a geo gen to your lava pump next to the liquid transposer, and then power the liquid transposer with a low voltage electric engine and a dimensional anchor. This way, you can have it so that it is always running, without you ever having to refuel it, or worry about it exploding. With my one, I haven't needed to go into the nether in a very long time.
  12. I would suggest creating a geothermal generator ASAP but only as long as you have a nether portal. That way, you can make 16 cells with only 4 tin, go to the nether, fill them all up, and stick them in the geo gen. Lots of power very easily that way. Thanks to enderchests, you can also make systems that will pump out lava from the nether, use the liquid tranposer to stick the lava in buckets, transport the buckets of lava to the overworld, and then use another liquid transposer to empty the buckets. The enderchests will be the hardest thing to make in that system, but that is where I would take it if I were you guys/have done on my server myself. Note: if you did do the nether idea, you would need a dimensional anchor next to both dimensions machines to guarantee that it would work unabated.
  13. Chill dude, I didn't mean it in an uppity way (though I appreciate that's probably how it sounded). I just meant that, as you are asking for other people, they might have the expertise to do it for you and/or teach you. If you were gonna do a lets play, I'd have thought you wanted to get as much of tekkit across to your audience.
  14. Choosing to not use redpower computers in tekkit is like kicking yourself in the teeth dude.
  15. Name: Benjamin Age: 16 Do you know English?: I live in England and have done all my life. Why you want to help: I have in depth knowledge with tekkit, and frankly I want to show that off but have fun doing it. Computer Knowledge Level: IRL about 9, in tekkit, probably also about 9 for both CC and Repower. Server Name: Whatever you like, i can hose it privately. Does anyone else know about it?: It'd be private Plugins: Whatever you want IP: whatever is needed Server Admin: Me
  16. Quick notice. Essentially, I'm an experienced tekkit player looking to aid someone with a lets play. I am able to host a private server or get us onto a very good public server if needs be. I have in depth knowledge of all the mods currently in tekkit at 3.1.2 apart from railcraft and the more end game items of EE, and my area of expertise mod wise is redpower. I live in the UK and therefore, anyone that would like me to be part of a lets play, or even just teach them how to use certain mods within tekkit, I would prefer if they shared a time zone with me (ease of access and all). I'm 16 years of age, and my Minecraft names is the same as my one here, so just PM me if you would find my services useful, and I can get right back to you.
