This is an illegal memory access violation. I had the same problem. Someone else had the same problem and had 4 gigs allocated.

PirateEggs do you have your java error message? This could be an illegal memory access violation.

This might surprise you but this is a memory problem. 0xc0000005 is an illegal memory access violation. I got the exact same error, and i was only running 1 gig of ram.

Do you have the launcher logs? That is what we need to help you.

Have you tried using the exe? I have very little programming experience but it might work.

You have to re-download the new launcher. That should fix your problem.

@PirateEggs I am having a similar problem. My game just randomly closes when im playing on a server. It doesnt happen when i play single, so it might just be something weird. I just had a crash While playing tekkit in single player. @Torezu what do you mean by machines hooked up in a weird way. There is a power setup that I normally use. Im wondering if that is causing it.
