  1. Yes, I have 16GB of RAM, I was giving it 8GB out of a bit of an annoyance or 'rage' on my behalf, my Tekkit ran out memory a couple times, so I got annoyed at threw 8GB at it and challenged it to run out of memory again. lol ~4GB is enough, I was just curious as to why it was only using ~4GB when I told it to use 8GB. Yes, the chance of having incorrect, or bad wiring is quite high, I am pretty new to these items and I am still learning how to use it all. No one elses game is crashing, and there isn't any reason for mine to be. How would I check my java crash logs to see if it's Java?
  2. @Torezo Here's the full log: http://pastebin.com/Xyd62H68 It says in there, "Allocated 3640.9375 Mb of RAM", I told the launcher to use 8GB. How would I reinstall without losing my settings? I don't want to have to reconfigure Optifine nor my control mappings. @flynard It happens in both single player (Technic) and multiplayer (Tekkit). I mostly play Tekkit SMP though.
  3. Yeah, Java loves to make things complicated and annoying. I was just wondering since it is possible with Minecraft Launcher, if it were possible this way, or possibly get it to auto-login?
  4. Title: Random Tekkit Crashing Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Java Version: 1.7.0_04-b22 Description of Problem: Playing Technic / Tekkit and my game closes, I get no warning, no freezing. It simply crashes and my game closes. Not sure if you need anymore of my log, if you do, I shall post more. Basically that is what shows up at the bottom of my log(s) when my game closes. There is never any consistency in the crashing, just happens randomly, I will be playing for a few hours. Error Messages: N/A Error Log: http://pastebin.com/u4iU9Ezf
  5. It's the same with the Minecraft one, just the way it launches it just works, I'm not sure. Never had much luck with Java. I will post in the bug section though, hopefully I can get it to stop crashing. :)
  6. 1. Does Instructions. 2. Not profit http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/5013/notprofit.png In the first section of the image, I have Technic opened the way you said, problem being, is that it is on my taskbar twice. Whereas, with MC, the way I have it launch is only on my taskbar once, which is the way I'd like to launch Technic or Tekkit bypassing the launcher essentially, kind of pointless to me, having to login every time I open it, it likes to crash and waiting 15+ seconds to launch isn't too bad if it happens once or twice, but it seems to be crashing every hour or so.
  7. I searched the Googles for the answer, but alas, I was unsuccessful. I was wondering how I would go about pinning Technic or Tekkit to my taskbar (Windows 7) I found a way to do it with default minecraft, and tried to use the same way in technic. I'm assuming it's probably not possible because of how the launcher works? The way I found with Minecraft. C:\Windows\System32\javaw.exe -cp C:\Users\User\Desktop\minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
