The official thread on minecraftforum dot net is titled [1.2.3] HACK SLASH MINE (SPELLSCRIPT ALPHA IS AVAILABLE!). The URL contains this as the topic number 502897-123-hack-slash-mine-spellscript-alpha-is-available. He released an update about a week ago. 0.6.4a2 is out but no in technic yet. after a bit more testing, it should be released in technic.

I kept getting the same issue... outdated server... no matter what I did. I found that I was copying the server folder from the hack/mine rar file into the minecraft server rar file. The instructions say copy the contents of the server folder into the minecraft server rar. Once I did that, I was able to start the server and log in with the correct client version specified in the options settings.
