[I volunteer to update Hack/Mine]

I'd just like to say that Frizzil is still working on this mod, and frequently posts in his thread of the minecraft forums.

The official thread on minecraftforum dot net is titled [1.2.3] HACK SLASH MINE (SPELLSCRIPT ALPHA IS AVAILABLE!). The URL contains this as the topic number 502897-123-hack-slash-mine-spellscript-alpha-is-available. He released an update about a week ago. 0.6.4a2 is out but no in technic yet. after a bit more testing, it should be released in technic.

[Need help on fixing "Outdated Server" Issue]

I kept getting the same issue... outdated server... no matter what I did.

I found that I was copying the server folder from the hack/mine rar file into the minecraft server rar file.

The instructions say copy the contents of the server folder into the minecraft server rar.

Once I did that, I was able to start the server and log in with the correct client version specified in the options settings.
