  1. If you use essentials you can ban items in the config.yml under Essentials Protect.

make sure you enter all variations of the item... if there is 64 and 64:32 add both to prevent usage of both...

Exactly what ColCrunch said, there's also a mod called Tekkit Customizer ( http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/tekkitcustomizer/ ). I used this on my old Tekkit server to block a lot of the UE stuff and 'power flowers' which were super overpowered.

  2. I wish I could send you evidence of the servers I worked on, but sadly they've all shut down eventually. Here's the one main one, (which had two iterations, Kyxcraft, and Kyxcraft 2.0). http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1077058-kyxcraft-20-124-ready-multiverse-creative-survival-pvp/

Also I run my own server right now, 108.61.70.250:25568, this is just for friends however. It used to be a Tekkit server, but things got a little hectic.

I was a moderator, then supermod on Thodcraft if you know of it, it turned to crap now, but it used to be a great server!

  3. Depends on the system for me:

    N64: Banjo Kazooey!

    Gameboy Color: Pokemon Blue!

Nintendo: The Duck Hunt/Super Mario bros. double cartridge

    Gameboy Advance: Pokemon Ruby!

I was a big Pokemon fan, also was the generation that started the pokemon craze. Kids these days have no idea what the original 151 meant to us. I was ecstatic when they released the new set of pokemon, only to be let down because they were nowhere near as good as the original. Each original had a specific personality, yet nowadays, they all have one, 'cute'. I remember the Squirtle squad, and all the other small personalities that went along with the original. Now they all are just bland and unoriginal.

  4. ....................

It is compatible with Windows 8. Have you tried or are you posting simply due to reading misinformation?

Also, holy hell wrong section for this.

I'm going to have to agree with spartanyanni, did you try it at all yet? Because there shouldn't be a single problem with it. And yes you are in the completely wrong section. For next time, try something before you ask about something... it helps

  5. Use /plugins from the Console, It'll show you which mods are installed and their versions.

Also check if you are using the same client and server version; you won't be able to join a 3.1.2 tekkit server with a 3.1.3 client.

Exactly this, if you use the /plugins command on the console it should tell you which plugins it's using. Keep in mind that he means console like if your server host uses Multicraft, they have a console that shows activity of the server. ALSO, if you are having trouble with the command not working in the console, try it without the '/', sometimes consoles already assume the '/' will be in front, so when you give it one with the command its essentially doing '//plugins', which will error out as an unrecognized command. As with the server and client versions. I would just check to make sure. If you need any more info, try to see if there's a specific error message that comes up in the client when you try to connect, that will help us get a better idea of what's going wrong! Good luck! :)

  6. Hello everyone! I'm wondering if there's a way to use the incorporated Custom modpack option in the launcher to help make a vanilla modpack. The main thing I would want to use this for would be for Mo' Creatures. Would this functionality be able to be adapted to use a vanilla jar, but have the Mo' Creatures mod installed so it can incorporate with the Mo' Creatures mod for a server? I apologize if it doesn't make any sense, those willing to help drop a comment and I'll be willing to try and help you understand my question a little better!

    Thank you!

  7. You should be pretty safe to just snag your world folder from your minecraft server and put it into the tekkit world folder without issue. The only issue you'll run into is finding the new ores. Any chunk you've generated already on your vanilla server will NOT get the new ores/trees/etc. You'll have to generate new chunks which can be a pain if you've expanded a lot.

The other option is to use MC Edit to cut out all the chunks except for the ones you've built in. This will cause the other chunks to be regenerated when you load up tekkit granting them the new ores/trees/etc.

Minchar said it perfectly. In order for you to generate all the ores you need for the various parts (And trust me there are a lot), you would need to generate new chunks for the ores to sit in. On the other note, for the cutting out chunks and re-rendering them, I would tread carefully. I'm not sure how integrated chunks are with eachother now, but before if you deleted a chunk, then re-rendered it, the sides wouldn't match up to the surrounding chunks at all. Just a quick thought on the topic. And Cheap Shot is right, the better place was the Server OP section. Hence how I found your post :) Best of luck!

    Why We Should Pick You:

I have been admin of servers for approximately ~2 years, I take pride in making sure things are working, and I do my best to help people when they ask. I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to plugins, (factions, bpermissions, PEX, essentials, etc.) I understand the idea behind needing to spend more time helping people and running the server than actually playing, and I enjoy doing so. I am very friendly, and consistently go out of my way to make sure people get what they need.

    Previous experience:

    Sin-Gaming: Moderator

    - Helped with day to day tasks, helping people with permissions, making sure they are set up correctly. Helped identify grief and correct it. Other basic duties of a moderator.

    Kyxcraft 1.0: Moderator --> SuperMod --> Co-Admin --> Admin

    - Started out as a moderator, helped with basic tasks such as I did in Sin-Gaming, then when I moved to SuperMod, I started to take over responsibility with Plots and other duties in Spawn. Helped a little with configuration of the server, also helped Identify Grief. after going to co-admin I was responsible for updating the servers various plugins, then shortly was put into full control of the server.

    Kyxcraft 2.0: Co-Admin --> Admin

    - Started out handling most decisions and plugin operations. Went on to controlling the server and helping ~15-20 people at a time.

    RydanCraft: Moderator

    - Helped with various moderator activities, used commands to help make the server locked down and safe to spammers and etc.

    TacoCraft 1.0: Admin

    - Ran a Tekkit server for various friends, trying to get more people to play, however couldn't get the exposure and eventually folded into a vanilla minecraft server (See TacoCraft 2.0).

    TacoCraft 2.0: Admin

    - Currently run a Vanilla Minecraft server with a few plugins. Only a couple players as of right now, looking to help with a modded server with a larger playerbase.

Although I am somewhat new to Voltz, I am eager to learn and want to help as much as possible. I thank you for considering my application, and I wish the best to you regardless of the outcome.

  9. Good morning everyone,

I have a simple yet technical question. I'm trying to find a way to save my Voltz game file in my skydrive in order to sync it to multiple computers. Has anyone ever heard of a way to get this working? I know there is a mod out for regular minecraft that changes the save directory, however I'm sure it won't work with Voltz because the save directory is different than the Vanilla game. Any help on this would be great!

    Thanks in advance,
