  1. Likely it overheated. When they do they turn into a source block of lava. If you had water around it then the lava turns to obsidian in the same way natural lava does when water is dropped over it. Was there any other sign of the reactor having blown up? Damage to the area or radioactive waste around it?
  2. On the download page where you have the Download Server option, right click and copy the link. Paste it into a new browser window, change the address for the .zip file to match the version you want. So instead of the url reading Voltz_Server_v1.0.11.zip at the end it will read Voltz_Server_v1.0.13.zip.
  3. There is one more thing people have not said here that could help you. And that is to simply come here and ask nicely if anyone knows how something works and not go off on a rant about a wiki managed by unpaid gaming enthusiasts who are devoting their time to make something for you and everyone else here. If this were a large software developer with many staff members and a budget to hire people to maintain a current running instruction manual then I can understand the attitude. And going round implying people are retards because you don't like their answers is hardly mature... And not likely to get you many replies here in future either. So if you need something and cannot figure it out on your own then just ask nicely in future and avoid lambasting other people while you're at it. Because surely someone here will know how something works.
  4. Ahh I did wonder if it did or not. Forgot it needed wafers to make the wireless stuff. Still, would be a good mod for Volts none the less. Hopefully it will be taken into account when they looks at things like microblocks and such.
  5. This is a better Wireless Redstone mod which is also part of Technic and Tekkit. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/909223-145146-smp-chickenbones-mods/ I have thought about trying to install it on my server to see if it works well or not with Voltz. As for redstone wires and such, see the discussion here. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/no-redpower.36878/
  6. Only other thing I can think is that you have to delete your whole Voltz mod folder in .techniclauncher. Again, make sure the temp folder in that folder is also empty just in case. Before you delete the voltz folder, you should backup any single player worlds you have from the Saves folder in the Voltz folder so you can put them back later. Delete the Voltz folder, then run the launcher. Go to options, select manual build selection and make sure the recommended build (currently 1.0.8) is selected in the dropdown box. Click ok, then try to log in using Voltz. It will redownload the whole mod from scratch. Run it and make sure it functions. Then close it and put your world backups back in place if needed.
  7. Don't see where it says the wiring is related to redstone. Looks more like changes to the existing electric wire to behave like red alloy wire does in red power. Anyway it would be nice but I agree that the electric system is all over the place in packs like tekkit/technic. I doubt they could add red power without the bluetricity stuff since they are combined into one mod anyway. Would mean ripping up someone else's mod and using pieces of it in this pack and I doubt the maker of red power would appreciate that.
  8. I had this with barbed wire in 1.0.8. Would not work based on the recipe on the wiki. So for now I spawn in what I need using the TMI interface and remove what I would have used to make it. Kind of cheaty... kind of..
  9. I have tested a few things myself and found that when I compare one large turbine with the 9 individual ones they are made from the large one delivers the power of only one turbine anyway. Think it is bugged. Try using all individual turbines and see if that makes a difference? Also, I have not really had any success with Fusion anyway since I cannot get it to even fire up right most of the time. I am overall not impressed with atomic energy right now and may only employ it to deliver enough power to make antimatter in a super collider. And I plan to use Fission for this since Fusion seems buggy at best for me.
  10. .. well... yeah... *blush* Doh. Moment of daftness. Thanks :p
  11. Hey guys. I tried making rebars for concrete blocks and it does not work. The Railcraft wiki shows the recipe as three iron ingots in a diagonal line but nothing shows in the crafting table square. Has the recipe been changed for the mod because I cannot find anything on the Voltz wiki.
  12. Also make sure it is the right way round. I was scratching my head about this as well when my own test did not work, then eventually I tried placing the accelerator block the other way round and it worked. You have to be facing the direction the particle will eject towards when you place it. Also I am not sure if it make a difference if the particle will be travelling clockwise or counter-clockwise. Mine was counter-clockwise.
  13. Hi I followed your Fusion reactor tutorial design step by step (well modified the water surround but anyway...) and the magnetic tube I made just like yours does not fill with plasma and nothing happens when I put in Deuterium. (is pronounced do-tier-e-um btw ) Anything I could be doing wrong? I powered it up from a generator too and the reactor core spins but does not generate any heat even putting in a full stack of Deuterium. Good tutorials btw. Very helpful. :)
  14. 1. Close the launcher 2. Browse to the Temp folder in the .techniclauncher folder 3. Clear all files out of it 4. Open the launcher again and try updating. I had this a few times with trying to get my own Voltz to work and this seemed to be the only thing that worked every time without fail. I think the temp folder is meant to empty itself completely when Minecraft is not running but seems it does not sometimes. Maybe the files in there conflict with the updating. Hope this helps you.
