  1. When I double-click it. It shows the .jar's contents.
  2. Thank you, just one question? Can I have a quick run-down about how to install the .jar file. P.S.: I cringe at Norton, too. It causes more problems then it solves.
  3. Ok. So basically, I'm on a Windows Vista. I run Java 32-bit. I have Norton Anti-Virus. I have made Technic Launcher an exception. I have updates my java, .net, and re-downloaded TechnicLauncher.exe about 4 times. When I run Technic, I will get an error saying "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application." Then it asks it I want to continue. If I continue The launcher will have a loading bar and say "Checking Launcher Version.." and stay like that for all of eternity.
  4. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path. at System.IO.Path.CheckInvalidPathChars(String path) at System.IO.Path.Combine(String path1, String path2) at TechnicLauncher.Program.LocateJavaFromPath() at TechnicLauncher.Program.RunLauncher(String launcherPath) at TechnicLauncher.Form1.DownloadStringCompleted(Object sender, DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4216 (VistaSP2GDR.050727-4200) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- TechnicLauncher Assembly Version: 1.0.1.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.1.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Users/Station/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/TechnicLauncher.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4214 (VistaSP2GDR.050727-4200) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4220 (VistaSP2GDR.050727-4200) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4016 (NetFxQFE.050727-4000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4016 (NetFxQFE.050727-4000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4016 (NetFxQFE.050727-4000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 5. I recently downloaded the Technic.exe and when I try to open it I get an error that basically says : Illegal Characters and then lists a bunch of computer jargon. I don't know if I need to install it, or use the other files, but I could use some help.
