Chunk Norris You could also call it tower escape.The idea of this map came from the question: "How many puzzles and challenges can be crammed into a single chunk?" Some Pictures: Mods: This map was made and tested under Technic SSP 7.2.6 (only mod turned off was Mo’ creatures). Mods that are absolutely necessary for the map to be played are Equivalent Exchange, Thaumcraft2 and Enderchest. Somnia(not necessary but highly recommended). About the map: This is basically a tower escape situated on a single chunk 0,0 to 15,15 and Y:0 to 255 it is divided in 16 levels(L1 …L16), you start out on L1 with some basic instructions and the question: “WTF how do I get out of here?”… All throughout the levels you are mildly guided by signposts. Weirdly enough the challenges get easier and easier instead of harder and harder. This might be partially to a change of temperament I have suffered while creating this map. But mostly to the very nature of minecraft, the more materials you have, the more crafting possibilities and the less restrictions can be applied to the player. Gameplay: This was meant to be played in peaceful. This is something to challenge your mind through decisions of what to build, where to build and in what order, not something to test your survival skills. You can always try it on easy or harder but I don’t think fighting creepers with your bear fists is fair. But if you have the nerve of trying that out please do tell how it went Rules: Peaceful, Survival, don’t switch to Creative, don’t spawn new materials into inventory. However baking up is allowed and advised, no point losing a few hours of gameplay just because a single accidental jump into lava. That and the fact that the map has a few points in which you could screw things up and making it impossible to finish. Simply exiting the game and using something like 7zip to quickly add to archive can save you some frustration. Since I have always liked SkyBlock, when I swiched to technic pack I looked for a good replacement. I enjoyed VoidBorn but found that even the so called "excruciating" version had a few things not really needed. With this in mind I set up to make the most minimalist survival map. Since I didn't want to start from scratch I edited skyblock to suit my needs. So when your water freezes causing your scafoldry to fail and killing you don't thank me, instead give credit to the makers of skyblock for making the biome snow Here is for all your masochistic needs: StingySkyBlock: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?yw361avehuq7ewb I realize that if you want to play this map with a friend the starting area is to small and might cause trouble so I also came up with this slight variation: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1jiiaamfaioa971 Rules: -play on peaceful( monsters give to many items, and monster farms make gathering emc to easy, you have to work for your emc!) -since I made this map tekkit compatible there is no millenaire mod, but if you're playing technic pack and enjoy the millenaire content you can give yourself a summoning wand, but don't lose it, giving your self a second one is cheating -don't dupe items/ edit inventory or give yourself items through NEI cheat mode. Outside the rules: Now that you know what's cheating, it's up to you if you play by the rules or not, it's your gameing experience, but if you cheat don't complain that the map is to easy. Here's a few challenges: *make dirt *Find the two chests near the starting area *make flint (enjoy your flint…you still don’t have steel) *make a bed *have a garden with normal trees, birch and redwood (hint: make it big and cut it often) *go to the nether (you don’t have obsidian, diamond pickaxe or steal it’s still possible...figure it out) *Find the first nether chest *make a pumpkin farm (again make it big and harvest it often) *make steel *find the second nether chest *make diamond *find the third nether chest *make an energy collector *make redstone *make a Ring of Arcane ===at this point the survival part is pretty much done=== But there’s still stuff to do: -make all the expensive EE items -a squid spawner -a diamond castle -a red matter castle -a castle out of snow blocks and lava(maybe with a little glass too) -sheep rainbow (a pen with 1 sheep of each color) -build all sort of buildcraft stuff -and all sort of industrial craft stuff Hope you enjoy this map

I would go with 7-zip itself http://www.7-zip.org/ it ha support for 7z zip and a few others just extract it and make the archive again with the compression type and settings you want

if you want to go completely mysterious on the excruciating version the gravel is not needed. You can make that from dirt...because you already have the philosopher's stone just a little suggestion to make a challenging map just a bit more challenging ;)

I take that back the problem is OptiFine related and the solution here http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,3821.0.html works perfectly and only takes a few minutes to do

the invisible blocks are very annoying I've played enough technic pack before and never had this problem, installed void born and now some blocks are invisible (transmutation tablet, energy collector, even the fences around the starting area,probably others too that s what ive come across so far) weird thing is now i come back to my other saved files and the same blocks are invisible there too found a partial solution and that is delete NEI.dat inside the saves folder) revisited my other worlds everything is showing up ok, comeback to void born same blocks are invisible again, return to my other saves and the blocks are invisible again... so I'm no expert but one thing is clear to me something within void born is screwing around with something in NEI... hope this info helps others find a solution cuz this map looks great but this bug ruins it really fast
