I'm here to discuss the rationality of my ban for glitching into as well as raiding/grieving the apparently Admin owned faction, HumbleFarm.
Now from what i heard before the hammer dealt its blow, i was being banned for primarily glitching into the base.
No Duplicating Items.
Listen to Staff Members.
Do not abuse tekkit glitches.
Do not spam chat.
Do not use hacked or modified clients. This includes X-Ray, Forcefield, et cetera.
Be respectful to all players online.
To address this, i have pulled the rules from the front page.
Now the only rule that speaks of glitching is rule number 3, "Do not abuse tekkit glitches".
lets dissect that a bit, "Do not abuse Tekkit glitches".
i glitched into the base using a method that has existed since alpha, and has not yet been patched in the game's final form. Meaning the glitch i abused was a vanilla minecraft glitch, not a tekkit glitch. And for that reason alone, i believe i should be pardoned and the rules adjusted for specifically.
furthermore i was told that raiding an Admin faction was also not allowed. But how was i or anyone else to know this if its not included in one of the 6 rules stated? further more, if one wanted to keep an admin base unraidable, why not make it protected? why even give players the option to raid the base? And finally, you cannot expect players to not use every trick in the book (within the boundaries of fair play) to play a pvp/factions server, this of course would include doing everything they can that does not break a rule, so by stating "no tekkit glitches" instead of "no glitches" your begging for something like this to happen, especially when you take a base and slap in the middle of the ocean protected by only one block (be it force field or not) of protection.
on a final note, unless the accusers have some definitive proof of me hacking (which is impossible because i simply do not hack) other than verbal accounts, please disregard all claims.
All in all, i believe everything i did tonight was completely within the legal boundaries set by the 6 rules stated on the front page on the forums, and request that the punishment be reconsidered by the admin or someone other than the mod who made the rash decision.
